2008 Meeting Information

First of two ORSI business meeting this year:

Date: April 5, 2008

Show up for lunch about 11:00 probably start the actual meeting around noon.

Meeting Place: Sirloin Stockade 208 N Perkins Rd. in Stillwater Oklahoma.

They have a wide variety of food on an all you can eat buffet, or you can order off the menu.

One of the proposals for this meeting is where to have the next meeting.  The ORSI board intends to start moving the site of at least one of our meetings around throughout our various districts so that more of you may participate.  A couple of suggestions we've had for the fall '07 meeting are Moore and Norman.  We are open to others.  We have been using Stillwater since it is equidistant between OKC and Tulsa, where most of the coordinated repeaters are.  But, again we are open to suggestions.

Important Notice!
ORSI President Scott Baker WA5A is planning to call a special meeting of the Oklahoma Repeater Society in conjunction with the 2008 Oklahoma City Ham Holiday. The meeting will most likely be off site at a nearby restarunt. Exact time and place to be announced. At the last several ORSI meetings we have not been able to conduct any significant business due to a lack of a quorom. More details to be released later.

Please note, new co ordinations, unless on 145.25 will only be protected for 90 miles, and must use coordinated PL tones.  Meaning, we will guide the repeater trustee in PL selection, so that adjacent repeaters will not use the same PL tone.  145.25 remains as the shared-non protected pair on two meters.  We are working on some SNP pairs on 70 CM.

Some of you have changed your mailing address, please email us with an update of that.  If we have too much trouble tracking you down, it could jeopardize your coordination.
